Collect

Eleventh Sunday After Trinity
*(Transfer of The Transfiguration of Our Lord)

O God, who on the mount didst reveal to chosen witnesses thine only-begotten Son gloriously transfigured, in raiment white and glistening; Mercifully grant that we, being delivered from the disquitetude of this world, may be permitted to behold the King in his beauty; who with thee, O Father, and thee, O Holy Ghost, liveth and reigneth, one God, world without end. Amen.

O God, who declarest thine almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity; Mercifully grant unto us such a measure of thy grace, that we, running the way of thy commandments, may obtain thy gracious promises, and be made partakers of thy heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
